Red Feather Development Group, a non-profit agency that brings affordable greening technology to impoverished peoples living on Native American reservations, is hosting a benefit this Friday at the Dactyl Foundation in NYC. The group embraces the ground up approach to green architecture, utilizing simple, innovative, and cost effective tactics that make it easy for anyone to build and live greener lives.
The proliferation of poverty on Native American reservations is oft forgotten, but it is a real and pressing concern, and this function is an excellent way to lend your support. The benefit will feature music by Grammy Award winning flutist Joseph Fire Crow, as well as framed and signed photography from Helena Christensen and Carter B. Smith. There will also be an auction offering original native artwork, Parson Ballet tickets, vacation home rentals, signed books from Robert Redford and Tom Brokaw, and signed guitars from Pearl Jam and Steven Stills.
The event is being held this Friday, December 12th at 7pm. The Dactyl Foundation is located at 64 Grand St. NY, NY. If you are unable to attend but still want to show your support, Red Feather accepts tax deductible donations.
