Join Richard Grossinger for two events where he reads from and discusses his remarkable new trilogy, Dark Pool of Light: Reality and Consciousness.
The first event is a reading, and the second a dialogue with Daniel Pinchbeck.
A native of New York City (1944), Grossinger attended Amherst College and the University of Michigan, receiving a BA in English (1966) and a PhD in anthropology (1975). He is the co-founder and publisher of North Atlantic Books, and author of 2013: Raising the Earth to the Next Vibration; Embryogenesis: Species, Gender, and Identity; Migraine Auras: When the Visual World Fails; Planet Medicine; The Night Sky; and The Bardo of Waking Life. In books such as Embyogenesis and Embryos, Galaxies, and Sentient Beings, Richard Grossinger brought together the subjects of biological embryology and consciousness as an embodied experience ("The embryo is the universe writing itself on its own body").
Daniel Pinchbeck is the co-founder of Reality Sandwich and the social network Evolver.net, and author of Breaking Open the Head: A Psychedelic Journey into the Heart of Contemporary Shamanism and 2012: The Return of Quetzalcoatl.
Thursday, December. 6:
"Dark Pool of Light: Reality and Consciousness: Volume Three" Reading with Richard Grossinger
In his three-volume work, Dark Pool of Light, Richard Grossinger weaves neuroscience and the phenomenology of being and reality together with psychospiritual views of that single thing which is most difficult to understand or vindicate: our own existence. On December 6th, Grossinger will read from his book, followed by an open discussion and Q&A with the audience.
Wednesday: December, 12:
"Consciousness, Prophecy, and the Next Age: A Dialogue on the Nature of Reality" with Richard Grossinger and Daniel Pinchbeck
Join us again on December 12th for an evening of conversation, readings and author Q&A to celebrate the publication of Dark Pool of Light: Reality and Consciousness: Volume Three. The dialouge will encompass consciousness issues, spirituality, and publishing in the hypermedia age. Signed copies of Richard's and Daniel's books will be available.
Both Events Start at 7pm. Cost is Free.
