Prins Thomas has been tapping into the cosmic undercurrent of the eclectic genre sometimes referred to as "space disco" for some time now. His latest offering, the more than appropriately titled Cosmo Galactic Prism, is a two and a half hour galactic excursion that defies genre boundaries and makes for enjoyable listening from beginning to end.

The album successfully blends the ingredients of acid rock, minimal techno, dubby house, classic underground disco, krautrock, plastic jazz, and juicy funk into a psychedelic stew, consistently anchored by a mid-tempo, soft disco pulse. The results will lure even non-dancers to get their bodies moving with its stimulating, laid-back grooves. But you could just as easily kick back in your living room, close your eyes and lose yourself in all of its spliffed out, space-aged splendor.
