"Activism without magic is doomed."
~ Caroline Casey

Miracles CAN happen. Shamanism has been practised on this planet for a hundred thousand years.
It’s a radical new/old way to effect political change. Listen up and you’ll hear the sound of Dick Cheney healing.
Because obviously Dick’s possessed by a demon. An entity calling the shots, pulling the strings to the detriment of his health and ours too.
But deep inside him there’s a little boy who wants to laugh and sing and play. It’s up to us to set him free.
That’s what shamanic work’s all about. Pick up a drum and join in.

I don't have to explain why I chose Mr. Dick, do I?
With his twisted, downturned mouth, his ailing heart.
Dick Cheney, embodiment of our rampaging American male member.
Casting its engorged shadow across the landscape.
Dysfunctional appendage running wild, starting war after war around the planet, plundering ecosystems, lost in a game of murderous one-upmanship with its identical swollen enemies.

But Dick can change, he can heal.
He's our sociopathic brother, he's not to blame.
We heal ourselves.
We all need help. We need a push.
When we drum the spirits are listening.
When we drum we open a door.
It's up to Dick to walk through that door.

“Say It in Spanish, Dick”

There’s a big secret that nobody wants to tell
It don’t matter what you did yesterday
Cause yesterday’s gone to hell
All that matters is what you do today
Today you’re gonna come out and play
Laugh and play
Heal your heart today

Come on Dick and open your heart
Cause there’s only one enemy and the enemy’s you
You’ve only got one enemy and the enemy is you
You look in the mirror and see somebody else but it’s you
You look outside, somebody else but it’s you
Look in the mirror and it’s you
Look in Iraq and it’s you
Look in Afghanistan, you

Dance outside of your gated community too
Leave the gate open, Dick, that’s my advice to you
Leave the lights on and your front door open wide
If you want to heal your heart today
Turn on your lights and open your front door wide
You got nothin to hide, nothin to hide
Yeh yeh yeh
Let anybody inside who wants to come too
Mexicans too
Guatemalans too
Cause you’ve met the enemy and the enemy is you
Met the enemy and the enemy’s you
All you gotta do Dickie is break through

Yeh Big Dick you’re such an influential guy
If you heal your heart we know George and the rest will follow through
First you gotta take off that shirt and tie
Lay down on the earth, lay on your back
Take off that shirt and tie
Bare your heart to the sky
Put a big smile on your face, little Dickie
And stay in this sacred place
Don’t matter where you lay down cause the whole world is sacred

Come on little Dickie you can do it
We’re all cheering you on
Cause you got a heart and I do too
So do the Mexicans, everybody you know
Mi corazon
Say it in Spanish, Dick
It’s for real

And you can play the tough guy for however long you want
Yeh play the tough guy for as long as you want
But meanwhile your heart’s being eaten from the inside out

And the spirits hear you
Ask the spirits to heal your heart and they will
Ask the spirits of the plants, the spirits of the animals
Spirits of the woods and the forest too
Ask the spirit of petroleum, ask the spirit of gasoline
To heal your heart and they will
Ask the spirit of petroleum, the coal deep in the ground
That’s what I’m talking about

Mi corazon
Guantanamo, little Dickie
Guantanamo, you’re not alone
They say this is the greatest country the world’s ever known
Greatest country the world’s ever known
Guantanamo
Say it in Spanish, Dick
Mi corazon

Chicken Soup for the Soulless

About a year ago I found myself with alot of internal anger over Bush and Cheney's various deeds, and i eventually decided that all that anger was just messing up my own psyche and not doing anyone any good. So i endeavored to release that anger. Knowing that at one time or another in their lives, Bush and Cheney were just little boys with a mother that loved them, I meditated and visualised in FULL detail, the adult Bush and Cheney in little boy pyjamas, bedridden with a cold. And it was my role to lovingly spoon chicken soup into their mouths. It took a good hour of spooning chicken soup into their mouths before i could overcome the urge to throw the hot soup in their faces. And another hour before i could come to some kind of understanding or empathy for them. I cannot say I ever got to the point of motherly love for them, but i was able to release alot of the negative energy I held inside.

Bush and Dick

I wonder for how many people Bush and Dick have played this role. They made me very angry for several years as well. It is impressive to see how many they have angered and very beautiful to see how many have grown through this, to forgive and care for them as humans. I am heartened by how much we have all been through and come out the better for.
