Green Energy Vortex
Money is magic, a highly symbolic artifact woven together by the massive
intentions of the collective human psyche. It is a signifier of stored
energy, as much as a battery or a gas tank, an
ability to do work, to do magic, to make things happen.
New Money
Complementary currencies, such as the Torekes used in Flanders, could be the solution to the world's chronic economic problems.
Money and the Divine Masculine
I recently attended a ceremony on "the healing of money." Immediately a vivid
image popped into my head of a man, vast and muscular, bound to the
earth with stakes and tethers, straining with every atom of his strength
to free himself and rise up. I knew that the man represented the divine masculine and his bonds were made of money.
American Materialism: The Elephant in the Middle of the Room
In the absence of an integrated consciousness, Pluto takes over and compels actions that defy our more refined values. An example of this drive at work is the "New
American Century," a
geopolitical plan whereby our corporate titans would control all of the world's energy resources.
Yoga and Money
We are on the brink of an
apocalypse that some have prophesied will result in a radical shift in how we
relate to time. The yogic practice of greedlessness can shift our relation to time; when we let go of the
habit of accumulating money and material things, we might have a chance to drop
into the present, where our true multidimensional self
exists, and where our
destiny will be revealed.
Sacred Economics: Chapter 5, “The Corpse of the Commons” (Pt. 6)
When
I ask people what is missing most from their lives, the most common answer is
"community." But how can we build community when its building blocks- — the things
we do for each other — have all been converted into money?
Sacred Economics: Chapter 3, “Money and the Mind” (Pt. 4)
Money is woven into our minds, our perceptions, our identities. That is
why, when a crisis of money strikes, it seems that the fabric of
reality is unraveling, too—that the very world is falling apart. Yet
this is also cause for great optimism, because money is a social
construction that we have the power to change. What new kinds of
perceptions, and what new kinds of collective actions, would accompany a
new kind of money? – The fourth installment from Sacred Economics: Money, Gift, and Society in the Age of Transition.
Sacred Economics: Chapter 2, “The Illusion of Scarcity” (Pt. 3)
Why should money be the root of all evil? After all, the purpose of money is, at its most basic, simply to facilitate exchange — in other words, to connect human gifts with human needs. What power, what monstrous perversion, has turned money into the opposite: an agent of scarcity?

Sacred Economics: Chapter 1, “The Gift World” (Pt. 2)
My intention is that by identifying the core features of the economics
of Separation, we may be empowered to envision an economics of Reunion, an economics that restores to wholeness our fractured
communities, relationships, cultures, ecosystems, and planet. – The second installment from Sacred Economics: Money, Gift, and Society in the Age of Transition.
Money’s Deeper Shift
