Biographical
My name is Sam. I have a wonderful other-half, Chris, and we are pretty much inseparable.
We compliment each other in ways that make our relationship unique yet perfectly balanced. I am science and he is religion. One would not think the two of those go together, but as is the duality of the universe where one rationale ends the other begins and in fact it works perfectly.
We are on a mission to make a difference in our ever changing world. We both have a deeply imbedded love for humanity. Armed with knowledge, love, and an open-mind, we plan on traveling to learn more about humanity's universal consciousness.
I am a lover of the Earth. I am environmentally aware, concerned, and active. I support the organic movement and one of my earthly desires is to be self-sufficient off my own garden. I am what I like to call a "convenience vegetarian," meaning that when mom serves me steak for dinner I would rather eat it, than face her wrath.
I can't survive without music. I'll listen to anything that has an essence of musical quality whether that be metal or jazz. I don't listen to anything that makes me feel like my IQ has dropped 40 points. I need to learn something from my music.
I read more than anything else. I read religious texts, biological texts, and any fiction or nonfiction from which you can draw beauty. Fantasy novels are my guilty pleasure.
I hate TV with the exception of the occasional History Channel and Food Network.
I am currently a biology undergrad with much interest in genetics, botany, aquatic life and pretty much all things living. I guess a good goal of mine would be to become an aquatic botanical geneticist. However, in light of the rapidly changing ways of our society I think I'm going to stick with just living for the time being. I'm sure my knowledge in these fields will be of use someday, but I am not interested in pursuing them right away. Traveling comes first.
If you are from the South and are interested in helping us form a community of common interests (such as the ones on Reality Sandwich) then we would be more than happy to hear your ideas. It is our goal to form a more tangible presence in the region. Really though, we just want to meet more people like us!
