The plant medicines Ayahuasca, San Pedro and Iboga come from the jungles of Africa and South America, where for millennia they have been used by indigenous peoples guided by spirit. Today, that deep, intuitive knowledge is being verified by the latest neurophysiology — our scientific understanding of the human brain.
The shamanic wisdom of indigenous peoples who work with these sacred plants is also highly aligned with the mystical teachings found for instance in the Kabbalah or the Vedas.
In this talk, Fabian Michael Piorkowsky will describe a holistic approach to sacred plant medicine that brings together these indigenous lineages with the scientific worldview and kabbalistic, vedic and sufi mysticism — a unique, profound and informed perspective that supports the integration of shamanic practices in 21st century society.
