It’s that time year once again… Easter has passed us by and now that fateful day, holy to psychonauts the world over, is officially on the horizon!
Bicycle Day – April 19th – is the day we come together to honor chemist Albert Hoffmann’s inaugural mind-manifesting voyage, when in his laboratory he intentionally ingested 250 micrograms of his accidentally psychedelic discovery LSD-25 and cycled home amidst the terrific birth of consciousness that would later transform our culture forever.
As in years past, those fortunate enough to live in the Bay Area are in for a treat. Euphonic Conceptions and Legion of Bloom have teamed up to bring you the 7th and most exciting Bicycle Day celebration to date, hosted at the ‘mind blowing, industrial, and state of the art’ MidwaySF, an ideal site to have an unique & inspiring experience you’ll be telling stories about for years to come.
The musical lineup:
There will be live painting & discussion w. Alex & Allyson Grey, as well a multitude of local and visiting live painters, a rich and diverse visionary art gallery, provocative live performances and stunning festive/psychedelic visuals.
What’s more, since 2018 marks the 75th Anniversary of Hoffmann’s initial voyage, this won’t be your average annual Bicycle Day celebration… The producers are honoring the milestone by expanding the event into a THREE CITY TOUR, bringing the Greys, Shpongle, CharlestheFirst and that finely cultivated psychedelic live art & music vibe, along with additional musical guests in each city, to The Mayan in Los Angeles on April 20th and The Joy Theatre in New Orleans on the 21st!!!
