Damanhur – From Atlantis to a New Future for Our World
Esperide Ananas, Author of Damanhur, Temples of Humankind and Formica Coriandolo explore a visionary istory of Atlantis, The Lost Civilization commented on by Plato and essential to Damanhurian spirituality. Through meditative techniques the oracles of Damanhur have delved into Atlantean myth and asked what can be learned from it’s fabled past. What are the examples to follow? Which are the mistakes not to repeat? A stunning visual presentation of paintings about Atlantis is presented bringing insight, depth and meaning to our post-modern world, and a better understanding of a ‘great plan’ unfolding through time to bring humanity to highter levels of consciousness and harmonious living, if only we so choose.

Church At GrandSpace first Sundays This Season w/ Mikio and Haj
Dec. 2nd / Jan 6th / Feb 3rd; Those of you who have known me for a minute know that i have been actively dreaming this event to life since all the way back when. woven through and from the original magyk of ‘Late Night Temple’ at DNE, the Frolic explorations at dawn in the fae filled fields of Tilson, ‘Rhythm Oasis’, and all the madness and tribal euphoria of the early ‘Body Temple’ days…. Church is both a continuance and an arrival, the realization of a well cherished dream and its continued unfolding. I am well pleased that Mikio will be by my side co-hosting Church and taking a turn on the sonic pulpit. both Mikio and i caught direct inspiration from ‘Body And Soul’ at Vinyl and Danny K’s offshoot ‘718 Sessions’. we were blessed with an intimate first hand view, as we were both enlisted in the Metrosound army that built and maintained that epic system at Vinyl. to be clear, we take the musical journey in quite a different way than those guys, but the spirit of tolerance within an open community, the dedication to excellence in production, and a beautiful community gathered around the love of music and dance is what we took from those days. We welcome you into the sunday afternoon warmth of GrandSpace, filled with flowers and divans and beautiful music you have never heard. lounging nooks, a spring-loaded dance floor and a uniquely exquisite sonic journey. explore dance, movement and community as we break it down for you in a soul dub style, and then build it up to a cascading crescendo, as we slide into evening for the final bounce of the weekend ride. (my vision is to to see this evolve into an open weekly gathering for new york’s dance community. procedural aside: if this concept is tickling the exciter antenna of any organizational uber-rockstars in the congregation, pm me and we can discuss possible paths down the rabbit hole.) Bless. Church at GrandSpace. “been a long time coming….” vital sustenance available.

Women’s Rites Celebrates St Lucia Day & midwinter Light
Calling all women to gather to reclaim the innate wisdom and power of the emerging feminine. Explore, heal, and restore as sacred, women’s bodies, lives and cycles, using ritual, sharing, journaling and more. Come together in a supportive circle to honour and weave women’s rites of passage from maiden, to mother, to crone. Each month we will have resources and “home rites” for you to deepen and personalize your experience.Facilitated by founder of Be Wild Woman, Kiana Love. “In the bleak midwinter a light shines through the darkness; when all is cold and gloom, the sky bursts into splendor, and in the dark cave is born the Light of the World.” This month we will be calling in light born from the darkness of winter to heal and shine forth our gifts as women.. . Just as a baby that grows in the dark fertile womb for nine months, our gifts, our light, are often born of our darkness, such as our unconscious or our angst and suffering. We will call in and celebrate St Lucia Day and goddesses of light, This holiday celebrating St. Lucia, can be traced back through Italian, Nordic ,Germanic revered woman and Dieties and all the way back to the Roman Goddess Juno, midwife to the newborn sun. In Sweden this holiday can be traced back to the Nordic winter solstice.
