The Shannon Error is a metaphor for the mindless frenzy of modern life. Many of us feel beleaguered,
confused, and alone. We are getting farther
and farther behind, completely unaware that in many ways we are
actually ahead of the game.
We’ve been certain that we can
understand the cosmos based solely on material things. But we’ve missed
the astonishing capacity of immaterial things. We’ve missed the
importance of arrangements.
This story is about a world of calamitous accidents, all of
which could have been avoided. They represent unnecessary loss of
life and the loss of billions of dollars. In the tragedies I describe here, the mistakes and
the lies belonged to the rich and powerful, and none of
the perpetrators went to prison.
How did Mankind happen to be on this planet, and whose genetic code do we
carry? The first book of the Bible describes the presence on Earth of space travelers and interplanetary settlers who came from their troubled
planet to Earth in need of gold, and ended up fashioning The Adam in their
image.
