Pornography: Music Project by Jimmy Edgar
Jimmy Edgar (Warp Records) is making his “Pornography” debut on Wednesday the 5TH of December. Hosted at Pianos, a downtown New York City hot-spot, that has been the “Pornography” home base since June 2007. [Music Category: new_york usa industrial noise rave house techno breaks electro hiphop dub synthpop ] In December, Pornography will take it back to its basic elements with tech-noir, electro, cheap drinks and mash-ups. A sweaty rave party with a legal capacity of under 150 is just what many young New Yorkers were craving on a Wednesday night. Edgar’s antics will foreshadow things to come in 2008 like “Color Strip” [his first Warp full length], a world tour, and New York City’s electronic redemption. A Detroit native, Jimmy is making his mark in NYC and around the world not just as DJ and producer but as an artist and fashion designer. For more information, please visit www.jimmyedgar.com

The Courtesy Tier
Courtesy Tier is playing at the Trash Bar. Why am I listing this? I adore them and their music. These are very nice guys who play sophisticated and beautifully tight, guitar driven sounds. Omer is not only easy on the eyes, he’s very kind and friendly and wise. He writes, “Even if you strive diligently on your chosen path day after day, if your heart is not in accord with it, then even if you think you are on a good path, from the point of view of the straight and true, this is not a genuine path. if you do not pursue a genuine path to its consummation, then a little bit of crookedness in the mind will later turn into a major warp.” -Omer
You pay to get in and You drink for free for the whole time that they are playing..
