"Red Ice Feather; Blood of the Earth" is a multi-media Improvisational Spirit Butoh performance ritual by dancer Kathi von Koerber and Flutist/Musical Shaman, Tonya "Tbird Luv" Ridgely. Kathi von Koerber a Multi-media Film/Video Artist and Dancer recently filmed the up coming Art/Environmental Butoh dance feature film "Ridden by Nature" in Alaska, Hawaii and Utah. Thefilm addresses the three ecologies, amongst them the vast glacial landscapes of Alaska. The water of the glacier is the Earth's blood. "This symbolic metaphor of human and nature is revealed in the improvisational Butoh dance as it reflects the passions, destruction, fragility and transformation found in nature and withinour selves. One has the opportunity to connect and bring into oneness the balance of humanity innature and natures with humanity" "Red Ice Feather; Blood of the Earth" is a celebration and requiem dance spawned by the mystery and heritage of the thousands of years old ice and the wisdom it stores.
