Dr. Glauber Loures de Assis is a Brazilian sociologist and Executive Director of the Psychedelic Parenthood Community. He holds a Ph.D. in Sociology from the Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG) and has authored numerous scholarly articles and book chapters on sacred plant traditions. He is a co-editor of Women and Psychedelics: Uncovering Invisible Voices, a volume that foregrounds marginalized perspectives in the psychedelic field. Dr. Assis is co-founder and president of Céu da Divina Estrela, a legally recognized and tax- exempt Santo Daime church in Brazil, and co-founder of Jornadas de Kura, a plant medicine center that integrates traditional practice, community-based education, and scientific dialogue. With over 15 years of continuous engagement with ayahuasca and other sacred plant communities, he also contributes to the communications team of the Indigenous Ayahuasca Conference. His current research and advocacy focus on the intersection of psychedelic science, Indigenous epistemologies, and family-centered approaches to plant medicine. He lives in Santa Luzia, Minas Gerais, with his partner Jacqueline Rodrigues and their three children. glauber@psychedelicparenthood.org
